Central area first used for possession play for 10 mins.
Description - next two teams will play 5v5 to end line (dribble ball over/recieve pass/play to target man) players work against opposition to get the ball into end zone. one directional at first then to into multi directional. Work on when is the best time to turn and which turns to use. Also touch on turning when in space (in defence), in tight areas (in midfield) and against a defender (strikers). next drill the 4 goal game; reds to score into the top and bottom goals and the yellows to score into the left and right goals. to score they have to be inside the target area (shown by the blue lines).
Technical - first touch away or shield from opposition, awareness of space and then accelerate into it once turn has been excuted.
Tactical - make opposition work and tire. attack quickly after identify space to expliot
Physical - good football workout
Psychological/Social - work as a team to make space that others can use, good decision making, awareness of others
Learning Objectives - identify appropriate times for turning and then to create a scoring opportunity

Description - 7v7 small sided game including goal keepers ; allow to time play and make mistakes, use 1 on 1 coahing to help players when the best time is to use turns and how.
Technical - use the appropriate turns at the appropriate times, defenders turn out and face opposition goal, midfield turn in crowded areas, attackers turn defenders with a back to goal. can turn when space is available behind us and accessible for us to use. can turn anywhere apart from danger area.
Tactical - can we turn then look to play forward
Physical - cardio workout/agility/co ordination
Psychological/Social - work as a team to make space that others can use, good decision making, awareness of others
Learning Objectives - identify appropriate times for turning and then to create a scoring opportunity going forward, can we look at ways to turn within the three thirds.

Circle under stress turning drill (20 mins)
Description - Turning and passing under distraction. at first this drill would be done with half inside without a ball and the other half of the team on the outside with a ball. the ball would be played in the players would then turn out using a 0/1/2 touch turn and then play out to spare player on the side, repeat/swap. Players now move into groups of 3's. 2 players on the outside and another in the middle. one of the players on the outside feeds the ball into the middle player who turns and players to the other feeder. Reapeat the sequence for 2minutes then change players in the middle. Work on recieving at an angle work on opposites and with the players on the outside constantly moving to make them more of a target to hit.
Technical - good first touch, aware of players around, focus on technique to then turn away from players and pass to other feeder.
Tactical - play to the opposite feeder as quickly and as smoothly as possible.
Physical - good workout, stressed environment work for 2 mins then switch.
Psychological/Social - communication skills, awareness of others, know when to speed up and slow down due to pressure. if not lend off.
Learning Objectives - be able to control, turn and play in one movement whilst under stress
