Setup: One large 30x40 square (adjust to group). 2 pug goals in center of grid, lined up back to back. circle of cones around pugs as a "do not enter" zone. 5v2 or 6v3.
Game: The team of 5 must get 3 uninterrupted passes and then shoot on either goal. Goalie can be added. Offense cannot enter the circle.
Scoring/Duration: Play to 3 and then switch players on defense/offense.
Coaching: 1) Learn to look for space away from ball on other side of goals. 2) Don't make short pass, if longer available. 3) Good passing technique and first touch (from warmups) 4) Can you look for switch when getting close to third pass? 5) Moving or standing still? 6) Closing space or opening space?

Setup: Same square as previous game (30x40). Dividing line in the middle. 2 teams of 4 (or team of 5/6 on offense vs team of 4 on defense to create success). 4 goals setup near corners
Game: Team with the ball must make 5 to 7 passes (including at least one switch to the other side) and then they can score on any goal. Only 2 defenders are allowed in a half. Offense can travel anywhere (3v2;4v2,etc). If defense steals ball, they can immediately score on any goal, and then they get a new ball to be on offense now.
Alternative: 3 passes on one half = 1pt; switch = 1 pt. 5 pts can score. Defense still scores on counter.
Coaching: 1) As defenders suck in, move the ball to new space 2) Offense stay spread to make defenders move. 3) When is a good time to switch? 4) Are we still passing accurately with good pace under pressure?

Passing Warmup Relay
Setup: 1 diamond for every 4 or 5 players. Adjust size to skill of group. Each part of the diamond is made up of a stack of 4 cones (each a different color).
Game: The simplest version of game is open up in space by cone, receive a pass with good first touch, and pass it to next opened up player. Each time a player is successful, they are allowed to quickly flip over the next color on their cone stack. They must do it quickly before the ball gets back to them. They can only flip the cone if they do correct form and accurate pass. First player to get back to starting color of cones wins (or first team to get all players back to starting color wins.)
Progression 1: Accurate pass
Progression 2: Must take first touch forward, and make accurate pass
Progression 3: Put a player in the middle. Wall pass around cone and pass to next.
Progression 4: Wall pass and replace player in middle after touching on.
