Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): Snake game (dribbling game 5-9 year olds)

Fun snake game (15 mins)

Organizational / Instructions ~~ 4 big cones as starting marker ~~ enough cones to make a snake liked shape ~~ 3 footballs per team ~~ Both teams bibbed up

Coaching Points

~~ make sure both teams come up with a team name

~~ start at the BIG coned gate

~~ wait for whistle to start game

~~ dribble through the cones

~~ head scaning up and down making sure you take small touches through the cones

~~ once the Two players meet up in middle they play Rock, Papper, Siccors who ever wins continues to dribble oppisite player goes to the end of his teams cue

~~ once one person gets through gates of opponents team your team gets one point and you start over again

This gives the kids a fun aspect and although they are dribbling they are more concentrated on meeting oppenent for the game of rock,papper,sissors this is the fun element and the both teams will be cheering there player on this is a great game because they are dribbling round the cones not thinking about it too much and it creates success
