Instructions:
A)3v2s
B) Continuous
- Introduce continuous 3v2s right away if the group can handle the organization. (Playerwho loses the ball or shoots the ball stays on as defender, Attackers onopposition team ready to go immediately after shot or loss of possession.
Otherwise rotate theattacking and defending teams.
- Attacks must bequick (Do not allow over-passing)
- Attackers mustattack space and prepare to make decision

Coaching Points:
- Attack:
- Ball carrier attack the defender/spacelooking to commit the defender.
- Player without theball stay on an open passing line and onside.
- Create an over load (Make 3v2 > 2v1)
- Decision making withand without the ball (Timing of runs, passes). Ball central in
3v2s(Overlap/Underneath run to get ball middle)
- Defense:
- Ensure the defenders close down spaceand defend with energy.
- Force ball one way by approaching the angle (Banana Run).
- Work with other defender to create even numbers (2v1 > Make it 1v1 - 3v2 make it 2v2)

Organization:
37*35 grid
- Two large goals
- Supply of balls along the outside
- 3 teams of 5-6 players (Adjust according to numbers)
Instructions:
- Players take part in a 5v5 finishing session
- Attacking team gets three mins to score or until all the balls run out
- Attacking team can shoot on either net to score
- Defending team has to keep possession with goalkeeper in order to keep possession (5 passes=goal)
- After defending team gets their chance to attack, team with the highest score stays on
Coaching Points:
Shooting
- Head down, follow through. Shooting foot should be the first to hit the ground after swing.
- Plant foot placed beside the ball, pointed in the direction you want the ball to go.
- Lock the ankle.
- Strike through the center to bottom half of the ball.
- Create space for your shot. (Take touch on an angle)
Possession
- Use attacking principles to keep possession between 5 defending players and goalie after winning possession
- Defensively- Pressure Cover Principals when pressuring attackers.

Set up:
30x25 4v4 + 4v4
Instructions:
- One team passes the ball to goalkeeper and receives the ball back as they get into structure to attack
- If defending team wins the ball they can then attack the opposition until the ball goes out of bounds
- If team scores they can receive another ball from their keeper to initiate a new attack
- Once ball is out of play the two teams that were out start the exercise again
- Neutral players become defenders of the goals in transition (Red).
- Three minute games then rotate
- Progress to only scoring by working the ball from one target to the next.
Coaching Points
Attack - Play to progress the ball forward (Through, around, over, switch play)
- Awareness of space to attack (Look far, pass to space, run to space)
-Progress the ball with penetrating passes, if we go wide we need to look to connect with an inside player.
-Look to advance the ball early.
Defend- Within structure - diamond shape, banana run to cut off sideline, check shoulder, take away passing lanes/channels
Aggressive to pressure and return at speed
Attacking Principles of play - Width & Depth, Mobility, Support, Penetration, Improvisation
Defending Principles of play - Pressure, Delay, Screen, Balance, Marking
