For this week we will practice receiving and passing technique. It is essential for players to know how to precisely control the ball on their first touch. Also as important is knowing which technique to use to release the ball based on distance/pressure.
Players will familiarize themselves with the following soccer dribbling foundations *FALCAO using the sole of his foot start & stop and to maneuver the ball all different directions even to pass*RICARDINIHO with speed and precision using moves with multiple surfaces of the foot to create space for the end product
*GARNIER the freestyle skill master using moves both aerial and ground
-Quality of technique
MVP system
-individuals who demonstrate listening skills-effort-technial prowess -positive attitude -will be awarded an MVP point
the player with the most MVP points wins the MVP award at the end of practice

Organization
-set up 4 gates for each pair
-set up as many gates needed for the amount of players
-1 soccer ball per pair
Instructions
Stage 1 (short passing)
1. pairs will pass ball to each other using a Falcao touch to receive the taking another touch to pass back (use inside/outside/sole)
2. compete first team to make 15 passes will say EVERTON!
3. alternate feet/try one touch
Stage 2 (first touch/short passing)
1. player will pass to partner
2. partner will take a first touch to either left or right side outside of gate
3. then use a change of direction move and pass back with opposite foot
Stage 3A
1. Players will pass but a longer distance
2. use Falcao touch to receive and keep tempo high
3. make into a competition/ try one touch
Stage 3B
1. Same as Stage 3A
2. now introduce lobbed technique

Organization
3 different zones
3 players per zone including GK in each end
1 ball
Instructions
1. teams of 3 the team in possession will have to connect 3 passes starting with their GK
2. the objective of the game is to find a penetrating pass to the opposite team waiting to receive (1 point for pass made for the passing team)
3. there will be a defensive team in the middle trying to intercept
4. defensive team can have 1 pressing player on the zone that the ball is in (if defender wins ball they can attempt to score against GK)
5. if ball is intercepted or stole then the team that lost the ball will become defensive team.

Progression
-add 2 wide neutrals players
-the 1st attacker of the team that has possession can now try to penetrate the middle zone then find a pass to opposite team

There is no overtime, injurytime or stoppage time.
Teams are comprised of four outfield players and one goalkeeper.
The goalkeeper must wear a different color jerseythan the outfield
players.
There is no offsides in futsal.
Restarts
Kickoffs: are indirect. The ball must be played forward first. Tapped balls are not in play – the ball must move forward.
Kickins: are indirect. The ball must be placed on or no more than 10 inches behind the line and the kick must be taken within 4
seconds. The kicker's non-kicking foot must be out of bounds or on the line. (A kickin that goes directlyin the opposing goal is a goal
clearance for the opposing team. A kickin that goes directlyin the defensive goal is a corner kick of the opposing team.)
Goal Clearances: are taken when the ball whollycrosses the goal line after being touched last bythe attacking team. The goalkeeper
must use his hands to roll, bounce or throw the ball from anywhere inside the penalty area to outside the penalty area.
Corner Kicks: are direct. The ball must be placed directly on the corner spot and the kick must be taken within 4 seconds.
Free Kicks: may be indirect or direct. The ball must be stopped completely before the kick may be taken.
Penalty Kicks: are taken from the penaltyspot 20 feet from goal and must be shot at goal by a clearlyidentified kicker. Defenders may
not be nearer to the ball than 16 feet and must be behind an imaginaryline running from touchline to touchline even with the penalty
spot.
Distance: For all of the above, except goal clearances, opponents may not be closer to the ball than 16 feet.
Ceiling: If the ball hits the ceiling or other object, the team that did not touch the ball last restarts play with a kick in from the nearest
point on the touchline.
The Goalkeeper
Must wear a different color shirt.
May receive a kick in directly.
May kick the ball directly over the half-way line.
May score directly with his feet during the run of play.
May not punt or drop-kick the ball. (Ball must settle to the ground or be touched first, no air under the ball when kicked.)
May not possess the ball for more than four seconds in her own half.
Mayt hrow the ball directly across the half-way line. A ball thrown directly into the opposing goal results in a goal clearance for the
opposing team.
May only touch/receive the ball once per team possession.
Restart focus
the restart we will work on this week will be kick-ins showing the players how to take advantage of fast play and movement
Principle of play Week 9: Penetration
The ability to play through or behind the opposition. Exploit space with good on and off the ball movement. Support - teammates should be available in supporting positions ahead, to the side and behind the ball (first attacker or player in possession).

Instructions
Phase 1
1. Players in the middle with a ball will dribble to an outside player and lay off the ball
2. Outside player will now dribble towards the square and repeat this action
3. Encourage change of direction move when entering/leaving square
Phase 2
1. Inside player will dribble out of the square and call out an outside player's name to make a pass
2. Outside player must penetrate on their first touch and repeat this process by dribbling inside the square
3. make it a competition to see how many passes players can make in 30 seconds
Phase 3
1. Players on the inside will dribble out of square
2. player with ball will play a wall pass/1-2 combination with edge player and take outside players spot
3. Edge player will now penetrate to square and find another outside player to combine again
