Organization: Set cones per diagram. 4-5 players.
Activity: Player 1 lines up at middle cone of line A with ball. Player 2 lines up at centre of line B. Player 1 passes ball to player 2 , player 2 receives ball and dribbles and manipulates ball to create open passing lane to pass ball to players 3 or 4. Player 1 steps between lines as defender and jockeys to take away passing lane
Coaching Points: Can attacker to directional touch out of feet to gain an advantage on defender? Can attacker manipulate ball and change direction to gain advantage if defender jockeys well off first touch? Does player show good ball control. Can player use body movement to throw defender off balance?

Tic tac toe (20 mins)
Set-up: Create a grid of 9 cones laid out in tic tac toe formation, cones about 2 yards apart from each other. 10 yards from the grid place 2 cones about 5 yards from each other. Use 6 markers, 3 of a colour, and 3 of another (ie. 3 yellow pinnies & 3 green pinnies). 4-6 players.
Activity: Divide players into 2 teams, and have them lined up at start cones at far end of grid. On coaches call game of tic tac toe begins. Players must dribble ball out to grid and place marker on one of the cones, dribble back to start, lay off ball to teammate, who does the same. This sequence continues until one team has 3 in a row, that team wins.
PROGRESSION: As player returns to start, when they are about 5 yards from start, they pass ball to teammate, move to one side to do a give and go for teammate who then dribbles to grid. PROGRESSION: Place a series of cones immediately after the start cone for players to dribble through before heading towards grid.
Coaching Points. Quality touches dribbling, controlled and quick change of direction after placing marker. RWB vs dribbling depending on distance from grid or teammate. Decision making, whether to be offensive and try to get 3 in a row quickly, or focus on defence and block opponents. Can players dribble with head up and make quick decisions to place marker to score 3 in a row, or is priority to block opponent who may score 3 in a row first. Can teammates communicate with dribbler to assist in seeing bigger picture as they are farther away. Fun
