All Drills are from the Coerver Ball Mastery App. Beginner Ball Mastery Essentials
Coach to demonstrate each drill. If players have experience with the drills then coach asks players to see if they remember and demonstrate.
One minute per drill.
1. Shuffle take
2. Shuffle stop slide
3. slides
4. Roll up inside (both feet) 30 sec each
5. Roll up outside (both feet) 30 sec each
6. Shuffle roll over
7. Take Scizzors
8. Take Stepover
9. Take stop lunge
10. Dribble Cutt both feet
11. Attacking V push w outside of foot
12. Attacking V push w inside of foot

Start slow and focus on proper technique.
Ball to stay close to player.

Organization
10 Players divided on each of the four cones. (This will allow for rest)
one ball on each cone.
Detail
Players dribble with the ball to cone at 3/4 speed and perform the following moves at cone and return to same cone with ball and the next player proceeds. Four times each foot.
1. inside foot cut
2. outside foot cut
2. Cruyff turn
Progression
Player dribbles to cone and prior to cone makes a move and proceeds to the right (90 degrees). Dribble ball to new cone
2nd set of moves:
1. Stepover
2. scizzors
3. Drag N Swerve or Rollover take (Roll over with inside right foot and push with outside of right into space)
4. Rollover push. (Roll over with inside left and push out of space with inside of right foot)
5. Fake kick
Switch Directions and repeat using opposite foot.
Competencies/Coaching points
Slow down a little and smaller lighter touches approaching cone.
After move, bigger touch and Explode out of cone with pace.
Try to look up before the cone (few feet ahead), so players get used to body language of defender.
Switch up your passing foot to next player in line.

Detail
2 Groups of 5 players
Group A passes ball in to group B.
Group B controls ball and dribbles towards player A.
First move is FREE
B has choice of either goal to score while A tries to defend and steal the ball after which A can score.
Progression
1. Pass changes to THROW IN from A to B
2. Change to 2V2
3. First move no longer free
Competencies/coaching points
Get ball under control quickly.
Smaller/lighter touches approaching defender.
First move is free so encourage players to try a different coerver move.
Explode out of move with bigger touch into open space
Decision making: Awareness of defender in relation to the net

Incorporate the Coerver moves into the SSG.
Scores are kept BUT, coach will keep track of how many Coerver moves are used and team with most moves wins.
Stop only to point out when a Coerver move is used successfully.
