1 team of 4 start in neutral zones as nuetral players.
Other 2 teams play against each other.
Instructions:
Possession game with 4v4 with neutral players. Team must complete 10 passess to score a point. They must use one neutral player at any time to score the point.
First team to 3 points wins.
Losing team switches with neutral players.
Coaching Points:
Quality of first touch. Weight, direction, surface of foot, away from pressure.
Communication.
Switich play to make area as big as possible.
Be Creative - Reverse passess, disguised passes.
Make play unpredictable in possession and try to make play predictable when not in possession.
Progressions:
P - Communication from neutrals only.
P - 15 passess to score
P - Use 2 neutrals instead of one
R - 5 passess to score
R - Neutral who recieves ball can join the rest of the area to make 5v4
Progress to conditioned game -
Add goals and take away 2 netruals at each end to make 5v5 with 2 neutrals at the side or one next to each goal to represent either wide players(side) or lone strikers(next to goal).

Key Factors:
- Clever inventive movement to create space and to get the ball.
- Communication.
- Play forward when possible
- Breaking lines.
- Body position (side on and see length of the pitch).
- Head check.
- Awareness of space.
- Decision making on pass.
- High tempo.
- Positive reaction on turnover of possession.
Organisation:
- 4v4 Small Sided Game implementing the movement to create space and to receive the ball.
- Neutral player plays for the team that has possession of the ball.
- Players on the outisde have a maxium of two touch to play the ball back to their team mate.
Progression:
- Condition play to two touch.
- You can only score after the ball is played out wide.
- Add an floating player.

SAQ Rondo (20 mins)
Organization
- x4 12 x 12 areas set up as shown
- Speed Ladders & Poles set up as shown
- 14 Players (2 x 5v2 Rondo)
- 1 ball per group (additional on outside)
Activity
- Players are split into two groups & play 5v2 rondo keep away
- In the adjacent area to each group is an SAQ circuit
- Attacking players aim to keep the ball away from 2 Defenders who aim to win possession back
- Rondo Rules: 1) Two touch max, 2) 10 passes = 5 push ups for Defenders, 3) Splitting Defenders with pass = 2 passes, 4) player who gives away possession becomes defender along with team mate on left or right
- At any moment during games Coach blows whistle. All players must react quickly & move through the SAQ Circuit: A, B and C. The HC and AC become servers.
- A) Fast feet through ladder, B) Slalom through poles, C) Plyometric jumps over hurdles and receive pass from HC or AC, D) Dribble ball through cones at speed with control and balance and return to the Rondo after the last exercise (D).
Coaching Points
- Possession: Work hard as a group to keep the ball aay from Defenders
- Support: Always alert & prepared to help your team mate. Angle/Distance of support
- Receiving: 1st touch to set up or disguise next action. Can you play 1st time?
- Transition: Quick reaction when moving to SAQ circuit. Move with purpose!
- SAQ: Focus on quality footwork, body balance & touches
