Stage 2 Warmup: Neural Prep (4-6min.)
- 12 players (3 groups of 4)
- Players will work through a series of speed and agility moves to cones and back. ex. Side step to yellow cone and return then sprint to first red cone and run backwards to starting point... that would be 1 sequence.
After 3 or 4 standard pre set sequences, coach to call out a sequence. ex sprint to 2nd red cone- backward to blue cone then sprint to last blue cone before turning and running back to line. Players start sequence on word go. Sequences are varied.
Progression [ P ]
One player will now be at far end with ball. Coach calls out a sequence that either ends at 2nd blue cone or second red cone. Player running the sequence will take a pass from far player at end of sequence take two touches and pass it back to far player who receives and stops the ball then runs to end of line [S].

Warm up stage 3 (8-10min)
- 12 players 4 v 2 in each half of a 50 by 44 playing area.
- red side and blue side each have a ball with numeric superiority over 2 opposing players. 1 player starts with service pass to start sequence. Defending 2 plauers engage after service pass. Red and Blue players with 4 players pass and support each other in a game of keep away in the respective 4 v 2 areas. Every 3 passes is 1 point. If team with 2 players gains posession they can attempt to keep away. Re start when ball exits the area. All players will rotate through their own teams to work in the possession or the defend portions for their team.
Coach will have extra balls ready to keep flow should a ball be kicked away from the area.
Keys:
- continuous play with quick rotations so all players get an opportunity to play possession with 4 players.
- Posession players should move and communicate in order to maximize posession... support where the ball is and/or take defenders away from player with the ball.

Initial Game portion of GAG 15 minutes (assessment)
- 50 by 44 playing area
- 6V6 small sided game to observe, encourage and correct within the principles of Attacking Support.
- Red set up as a 1-2-1-2 and Blue set up as a 1-2-2-1
Some Keys in Attacking Support:
- Provide communication... ex. what the player with the ball can do and where the supporting player is if they need to pass.
- Create passing options... (forward, sideways or backward)... Recognizing when to play to feet or to space.
Forward: is there opportunity behind the defense... space and time to put the ball there. Ex player makes an overlapping run into space behind defenders and ball is played to that space.
Side pass or Square ball: Is there opportunity to feed the ball to one side or the other where a supporting player is moving... perhaps creating a 2 v1 imbalance on the defender leading to a give and go opportunity for example.
Backward: Is the defending so tight that now the player with the ball needs to use support from players that are supporting from the back... keeping position by playing it back and then moving to be open for that player.
- Create numerical superiority using good angles and distance of support
- Use movement to also draw defenders away from ball carrier
- Going back to go forward
-Using the support to maybe keep the ball and attack if defender peels off.

Analytical portion of GAG 15 minutes (assessment)
- 40 by 30 playing area, 12 players total. May adjust area size in order to adapt to what is happening. Using a tighter area will have players challenged in trying to create space and support opportunities.
- Red begins attack (wing player starts sequence [S] with a pass (to middle player or to winger) or can dribble in and attack.
-Red players can move quickly in support of receiving player. Opposite wing red player moves on pass or dribble to also support initial decision.
- Blue defends (2 up and 1 back behind line) Back defender can engage once the starting player begins sequence. If Blue wins the ball, can now attack Red goal. slight delay but essentially a 3v3
- Rotation for Red is Passer (left) goes to middle then to right wing etc.
- Rotation for Blue is 3 on 3 off and change positions when same group returns. Adjust as numbers dictate.
- Switch teams half way... Attackers now defend etc.
Coaching points on attacking support:
- Provide communication
- Create passing options (forward, sideways, or backward)... as described in initial game.
- Create numerical superiority using good angles and distance of support
- Use movement to also draw defenders away from ball carrier
- Centre Attacking Fwd wait for support and also take options given by defense
- continuous shifting to support decisions made
Progression: [ P ]
- Add back tracking midfielder (From diag: Another Blue player can start at blue cone and back tracks after 1st touch. Red also add a player (From own goal area or also up front) making it a 4v4 situation.

Red in a 1-2-1-2 formation and Blue in a 1-2-2-1 formation
50 by 44 playing area, 12 players- 6v6
follow laws of the game include throw ins and corners. Adjustment for players under 13 (kick ins)
can start with no offsides... then add that in later.

- awareness to not bump into teammates
- add in specific movements: high knees, Butt kicks, side steps, passing motion, direction changes, imaginary passes, imaginary headers.
