Attacking with an emphasis on using the wide players.
4 v 4, 2 Crossers, 2 GK.
35y by 35y area, 5 by 35 crossers zone.
Directional game with both teams looking to score, the crossers are neutral and play with the team in possession, the crossers cannot come out of their area and defenders cant tackle them once they have the ball.
If a goal is scored or a shot is over/wide the other team start with possession. No corners/throw ins. If the ball goes out off the reds, the blue GK starts.
Rotate crossers regularly, give each outfield player a chance to cross the ball.
You can play to a certain amount of goals or a time limit.
Progressions:
- Crossers have one touch to control and one touch to cross the ball in
- Crossers have to cross the ball in first time, have to drive it along the floor, hang it in the air, whip it at speed.
- You could also make it easier, especially if you are working with a younger age group, you could get the crossers to throw the ball in to the attacking team.
