First of all play a basic 4v2.
4v2+1, 30X30 grid divided into 2 30X15 grids
Play 4v2 in one 30X15 grid until a penetrating pass to the target cvan be played. Once played, 3 attackers and 2 defenders join to play 4v2 again. Play target when available, 2 touch play.
Coaching Points: 2 Tiych play, movement based on defenders, close support under pressure further when not, when to play between the lines (past a defender) and when to penetrate, correct touches to maintain possession of the ball until a penetrating pass can be played.

Objective:
Improve the ability of players to perform a side move action under passive pressure.
Description:
- Two lines of players. One line at cone A and one line at cone B. No players at cone C.
- Player from cone B passes the ball to player at A.
- A moves towards C under passive pressure.
- As player from A is pressed by player from B, he should perform a side turn using his body to shield the ball as he turns.
Organization:
- 4 to 6 players per group.
- Players from cone B with balls, players from cone A without.

Coutinho to Firmino
Description:
-Organise players into pairs (Firmino & Coutinho) and assign a defender on the opposite side, near the goal (they are not allowed to cross a certain line as shown).
-Firmino and Coutinho will work together combining good passing and receiving skills along with moving effectively to get into space and beat defender for Firmino to then score.
-Players can make as many passes as they like- EXAMPLE 1 shows just a 1-2 between the two players, whereas EXAMPLE 2 shows 4 passes.
-Rotate players after 2-3 minutes so that everyone has a turn at being Firmino, Coutinho and the Defender.
Progression:
1) Allow only 1 touch passing now.
2) Players must make a total of 5 passes before shooting.

Directional Possession
Terminology
"change it" or "Switch it"
"release out of pressure"
- two teams in the middle with neutrals on either end of the field
- team looks to play one side of the square, keep possession and play the opposite side = 1 point
- if possession is lost, you must restart
- 90 sec games, rotate neutrals
COACHING POINTS:
1) Once the ball is switched, create angles of support to receive the ball
2) Find passing lanes that are able to "break lines" or take defenders out of the play
3) If possession is lost, try and win the ball back under 5 seconds.

Set up
Half pitch game with one goal and 3 sets of gates on the halfway for the red team to play out and attack through.
Play always starts from the goalkeeper who play out from the back and build the attack through the midfield and through the thirds of the pitch.
When a pattern of play is built and practiced start to introduce throwins and corners to build on playing out from different scenarios.

SAQ (Speed, Agility and Quickness) (5 mins)
Aim: To improve players speed, agility and their ability to move dynamically.
Drill: Players are given different movements through the ladder e.g. single step in ladder, two steps in ladder, sideways etc.
Once the player moves through the ladder the coach plays them a pass, the player first touch needs to be outside the line of the cones, with their second being a pass back to the coach.
Key Points: The focus during the fast feet phase is on the player being light on their feet and executing the skill with fast, controlled movements.
The focus for the first touch phase is getting the ball out of their feet to the side and making an accurate pass back to the coach.
Some groups will use cones or poles instead of ladders. The drill still follows the same focus.
