Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Handball through the 3rds overload game.

Set Up: Two goals with GK's. Pitch divided into thirds. 2 x teams of 6 players with 3 defenders in def third, 2 midfielders in middle  1 attacker in attacking third. 

Format: Handball game with the aim to progress the ball through the thirds to score in opposite end goal. In possession, players can enter any third of the pitch to create overloads, player with ball has a 2 step minimum to play pass to encourage movement of the ball. Out of possession players must stay in their designated third.

Key Points: Support the attack by moving through the zones to create overloads & options for player on the ball. 

Create space to receive the ball with intelligent movement to lose the defender.

Communication & awareness of support players to retain possession & move up the pitch.
