Ball mastery (15 mins)

In squares player will perform various individual technical skills.
General coaching points.
-Encourage that players start all moves slow and progress to doing them faster as they master the skill.
-All skills should be done/perform with both feet.
-Players should make every effort to keep their ball inside their square throughout the skills.
Vpull opposite foot
talk about pushing the ball out with outside of the foot, show them what it looks like, the ball needs to be pushed out diagonal-forward.
L- turn - Ensuring location of the ball in front of player prior to performing the gesture
As ball is being pulled allow to go behind back foot and then tap forward with inside of the foot turn body as ball is being tap with inside of the foot.
Stationary moves
Side step with cookie (Mane)
Coaching Points:
- Ball should be close to both feet in between body
- exagerate (shoulder and waste side step but keep the step very short and fast
- Ball must be dragged with first foot, shift body to the side as it is being dragged and then push forward with other foot inside of the foot.
Double sc
Coaching Points:
- Location of the ball must be slightly out ahead of player in between body but not right at feet.
- scissors must be low & fast, put hips into it
- Ensure push out the ball out away from feet, outside of the foot (proper technique small pinky toe) push must be ahead of player in order to get ball on the stride not to far not to close
-with weak foot encourage player to slow down and exagerate/overdue movements to gain proper & accurate muscle memory.
-encourage players to look up chin up when they are doing the move.
