Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Wall pass and shot

Wall pass and shot (20 mins)

Set up a cone at both corners of the box and a mini-goal at the half-way line.

The goaler rolls the ball to the right midfield (8) who is waiting near the corner. The 8 receives the ball and looks for the striker (9). The 8 passes to 9 (avoiding the cone) and runs into the space. The 9 receives the ball and returns the pass to 8 in the space (completing the wall pass). The 8 then runs at goal and finishes the ball into the mini-goal.

Then striker now picks the ball, puts it behind the Goaler and goes to wait for his turn in right midfield position.

The Goaler now chooses whether to distribute to the Right Midfield or Left Midfield.

The aim is for the Goaler to practice distribution to the right midfield & left midfield and moreover, allow the team to practice the wall pass with the aim of going for goal.
