Dribbling - MINI KICKS - Bank Robbers
Organisation:
30x40 area with 4 5x5 squares in each corner.
Instructions:
At coach command players must run to the middle to retrieve a ball and dribble back to their corner. Upon return, next teammate runs to do the same.
Once all balls are all gone, team with the most in their corner wins.
Progression: Allow dribbling with single foot adding a move (feint, roll, etc.)
Regression: Allow dribbling with either foot.
Competitive: How many can your team retrieve?
Coaching points:
Outside (pinky-toe) for close control.
Laces for fast, longer distance dribbling.
Head up to locate your corner.

Dribbling - MINI KICKS - Bank Robbers
Organisation:
30x40 area with 4 5x5 squares in each corner.
Instructions:
Once all the balls have been retrieved from the middle and brought back to the corners, on coach command, teams have 1 minute to go "rob" the other corners to try to get more balls into their corner. Players can opt to go steal balls, or they can choose to defend their bank.
Progression: Prohibit players from staying inside their own corner.
Regression: Allow players to stay inside their own corner.
Competitive: How many can your team steal (defend)?
Coaching points:
Outside (pinky-toe) for close control.
Laces for fast, longer distance dribbling.
Heads up to locate players coming to steal.
Head up to locate players trying to defend while stealing.

Organization: Place 5 cones 3 yards apart in a straight line. Players should already be in teams for pervious drills.
Instructions: Player dribbles around cones as shown.
It is a race but players must keep the ball close and under control
Coaching Points: Changing direction with the ball
Dribbling with head up
Dribbling with both feet and different part of foot
Progressions: Instead of sprinting back change it to dribbling back so it makes players use both feet.

Organization: 2 goals on each pitch sperated by a line of cones.
Instructions:
Play 3v3/4v4 using age appropriate goals (no GK's) in a 20x30/25x35 yard area.
Restarts are always made from the coach who has as many balls as possible around him, if the ball goes out a new game ball is immediately played in.
The game is continuous (no stoppages for throw ins, corners etc.) until the players need a water break or the coach runs out of balls.

At coach command players must dribble to the side of the field indicated by that number of cones.
First one to the side, gets a point.
Progression: Allow dribbling with single foot.
Regression: Allow dribbling with either foot.
Competitive: How few touches does it take to get to the side?
Can you stop your ball exactly on the line, under control and balanced?
