SET UP:
3 Grids of 12x15 (Age and ability depending)
5 players in each grid.
Group of 5 players in middle are defending. 2 players from group go in to win ball back from attackers who are trying to pentrate with a pass into the third grid through the remaining 3 defenders.
Play for a time or to a score.
Coaching Points:
ATTACKERS:
Make space as big as possible;
Angles and distance of support, body shape when receiving.
Can we play into a forward to play back to oncoming player who can see the gaps."set"
As ball is travelling look to see if we can pass forward(anticipation)
Patience when tp penetrate and when to pass.
DEFENDERS:
Pressure on ball ;work as a pair; Communication, Isolate player on the ball.
Remaining 3 defenders use cover and balance to deny penetration.
If penetration occurs be prepared to press immediately.

SET UP:
12x12 Grid 4 cones 5 yards beyond each side.
2 targets per team on opposite sides of Grid.
2 players on each team in grid.
Objective:
To get ball transferred from one side to the other scores a point.
RULES:
One player from team can come out of grid and receive on the half turn. That player can then either dribble in or pass into teammate in grid and combine to penetrate to the other end.
Opponents can only challenge for the ball inside the small grid
Ball must be played in the small grid to score a point.
Play for a set time to determine winner.
COACHING POINTS:
Body shape when receiving the ball – on the ‘half turn’
Movement to receive
React to the pass – don’t stand still, look for more space
Weight of pass, control, turning, communication.
When to pass when to dribble.
Opposite movement for players in the grid,when one comes out to receive the other

Set up:
Area size to suit the players age and ability.
3v2 in end zones, 2v2 in middle zone with GK as target player at each end (numbers can be adapted to suit the group. Floaters could be used)
Coaching points:
In possession create width and depth.
Look to play forward at every opportunity, if not play sideways or backwards.
Angles and distances of support.
Body shape to receive.
Quality of pass.
Movement to create space as a team and an individual. Particularly in middle 1/3.
Rotation within zones.
To score hit target player.
Progressions:
Players can move between zones when their team has possession – pass, run, dribble to create overloads higher up the pitch.
Recover when possession lost.

SET UP:
3 areas 15x 12(depending on ability) 3 groups of 4/5 players 2 balls.
Objective:
Keep balls moving and keep players moving.
Progressions:
Pass and Move add in Dynamic stretches.
Pass and Move with acceleration
Pass and Move on any line other than ball.
Pass and find the other ball.
2 touch /1touch.
Coaching Points:
Head up and see entire space.
After pass explode into space.
Get ball out from under feet with positive first touch.
"Kill" the ball to incite movement or pass for player coming onto ball.
