Red Light Green Light (5 mins)

15 x 20 yard area; each player with a ball

When coach calls out GREEN LIGHT players dribble forward under control. When coach calls out RED LIGHT players must stop ball as quickly as possible. If players balls gets far away from them coach asks player to take a few steps back before calling out GREEN LIGHT. Players are attempting to dribble across to opposite side of area

Variations:

1) Coach holds up a red pinnie or green pinnie to indicate stop or go

2) When coach drops pinnies players can sprint to opposite side

3)Coach stands behind players to encourage them to dribble quicker

Ball tag

15 x 20 yard area

1/2 players with a ball. Players are jogging around inside of the grid and players attempt to kick a ball against a player of the opposite colour! If you hit player with a ball the player has to do 1 push up!

Variation:

1)Player get to pick players who get hit with punishment

2)Coaches also have the balls and players run around
