Player passes the ball from line A1 or A2 and closes the space on the offense. The player on offense tries to penetrate the defense and get to the other side. Players switch roles after each turn.

Coach teaches the concept of first defender. Approach the ball quickly without diving in, jockey, and attempt to steal the ball or poke it away from the other player.

The defenders (red team) pass the ball in and play defense. The passer plays second defender and her partner plays first defender. Red players switch grids after every turn and after 10 mins, the two teams switch roles.

The players play 3 v 3 on small goals. The team members need to communicate and play the roles of first, second, and third defenders. Make as many set ups as you need to depending on the number of players that you have.
