Drill (15 mins)
Organistation
- 8 players (3 reds v 4 blues + 1 GK + 1 server)
- Reds (Coached)
- Blues (Managed)
---
Conditions
- The ball will start with a server around the half way line.
- The server passes a lofted ball to the keeper
- The keeper will then look to throw the ball out to any of the back 4 player. That will trigger the forwards to pressure the ball and move together as a unit.
- The defenders must get the ball to the two smaller goals situated just short of the half way line. They may also score a point by passing to the server.
---
Key Points
- The aim is for the attackers to show the ball and player inside to congested areas with more chance of regaining possession.
- If the attackers win the ball back they can shoot and try to score a goal. If the ball goes out of play, the drill will resume from the goalkeeper or server.
- The attackers will need to move together as a 3. They will have triggers when the ball moves across the back 4 to which they will react to and try to regain possession.
