Area set up 20 x 30, 30 x 30, 40 x 30
3 x teams of 6 in different pinnies
Restart gets played in from the coach
Activity:
Rondo using the third team as a wall to maintain possession
When 5 consecutive passes are completed the players in red step back 10 yards to create a 30 x 30 for the team to maintain possession with 5 passes
When 5 more consecutive passes are completed the players in red step back another 10 yards to create a 40 x 30 for the team to maintain possession with 5 passes
If the team can keep possession for 5 more passes then the activity moves back to the original 20 x 30 to execute the cycle again
If the other team wins the ball, then the cycle starts over again with that team in possession
Coaching Points:
Quick movement of the ball
Playing with head up
Playing into the future for quick decision making
Defending as a group

SET UP:
50 x 70 area with a goal at each end and a 7 yard channel on each side of the field
9 V 9 in two different colour pinnies GK in each goal
10 balls distributed evenly between the two goals to start
5 minute intervals for rest and coaching points
ACTIVITY:
Regular 9 v 9 game between the two teams
When a team is in possession the wing players must open up into the channels to create width in the attack, defending team cannot go into the channel in the first progression
Wing players attack channel space and look to cross the ball for a central attack eith on the ground, over the top or combination plays into the goal
When a wing player enters the main area of the field, a central player may go wide to give width and create space for their team
Progressions: allow for a 1 v 1 in the channels
allow 2 v 1 in channels
COACHING POINTS:
In attack:
Creation and width on the field for the attack to develop
Defending with compactness
Attacking in numbers with odd man rushes
Recognizing space and ability to attack the space
Helping wide players to create width utilizing the channel as a guide of how wide to get
