Session Objective:
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organisation: Set area per diagram
Activity: Players divided into 2 teams. Defending team lines up at cone at side of area, with attackers at cone opposite and farthest from goal. First defender in line comes to middle of area, and once attacker begins dribbling/RWB play is live 1v1. Attacker tries to beat defender, dribble into shaded area and tries to score. If defender wins ball they get point by passing to next defender in line at the side. After 10 mins, teams switch roles. Keep score to see what team wins.
Coaching Points: Can attackers gain space b/w them and defender with speed. Can attacker use their momentum to their advantage to freeze and get past defender. Creativity - Are players using various technical abilities to beat opponent; shielding, dribbling, moves (sole rolls, toe drags, scissors, step over, feints, etc)..

Organisation: Set area per diagram
Activity: Players divided into 2 teams at opposite cones at one end of area, with a feeder at other end. First player for each team meet halfway across from feeder. Feeder plays ball into area, 2 opposing players race to the ball, first to ball is attacker, other defends. Attacker shields ball and looks for opportunity to turn defender and beat him past end line and ends with shot on net. If defender wins ball they can play to feeder and then receive ball back to then become the attacker. Keep score to see what team wins
Coaching Points: Can be first to ball to have advantage of being attacker. Since have back to target with defender goal side, can player either turn right away, or use body and position to shield ball if can't turn immediately. If defenders in tight can attacker keep body between them and ball. Can attacker create space. Creativity - Are players using various technical abilities to beat opponent; shielding, dribbling, moves (sole rolls, toe drags, scissors, step over, feints, etc).

Organisation: Initially divide field into areas per diagram
Activity: SSG initially where 1 player from each team allowed in each box. Progression is SSG with no restrictions
Coaching Points: Mindset to take players on 1v1. Attackers should use speed and space when have gain it over their defender. If receive ball and do not have space to advance immediately, players should exercise patience and body positioning to make decisions to gain advantage to make progress.
