Very technical session this week. We are focussing on teaching the players the correct habits and techniques on how we pass and receive the ball.

Technical Passing= Inside of the foot, the hips, and the plant foot must all be facing the player that we pass to. Receiving= our first touch is a little bit infront of us and a little bit beside us. |

Technical Play the through ball so that your teammae can run onto the ball. (this one will be new for some of the players as they have only ever been told to play to feet.) |

Organization
2 teams. 1 ball per team.
Field Set up
25x20 grid. 25x10 free zone. One Pugg Net at the end of the free zone.
Detail
Teams will make 10 passes(does not count if the players pass a ball back to the player who played them the ball), then send a through ball into the Free Zone for their teammate to score. First team to score wins. We will then restart the game with the balls back with each team. Play about 9 games. The first team to 5 points gets the begin the next progression with the ball. One player per team allowed inside the free zone. The players must not enter the free zone until the ball has been played. This will help them learn the offside rule without even telling them.

Detail
Match play. Must release one player into the end zone to score. Attacking team sends one attacker and defending team sends on defender into the free zone. Player can only enter the free zone once the ball has been played.

Organization
Players in pairs. 1 ball per pair. Each of them set up across from eachother one one side or the other of the gate,
Field Set up
20x20 field. 4 blue gates. 4x red gates. or whatever colours you have. Gates are positioned on the width of the field, the top of the field, the bottom of the field, and the middle of the field.
Detail
Players start passing with two touch, back and forth through the gate. (let them pass for a few minutes as we go around adjusting their technique on the first touch, then the pass.) move into one touch passing and continue moving around to adjust. This portion should take around 10 minutes.
Progressions
-Have the players make 3 quick passes, then move to a different gate. Let them get the hang of it for a few minutes, then take them into competition. How many gates can you pass through in 2 minutes? how many gates can you go through in 1 minute?
- Have them make 3 quick passes and then move to a gate that is a different colour.
