Set Up:

Above should be the amount of players in a wall.

Organization:

Goalkeeper should organize the wall. Tallest player should be on the inside of the wall. Player nearst near posts head should be in the middle of the post when the keeper positions the wall.

When fouls / freekicks are awarded around the field the nearest player should step to the ball to avoid the opposition playing a quick freekick.

Defending Corners

Set Up: Corners

Organization:

One player on near post, one even with post and top of the six yard box, one on six yard box even with penality spot. Keeper responsible for the area in front of him. Near post player will be in charge of near post, circle around keeper to back post for a longer cross and defend any short. In the event of a short he will leave the post and press along with the player at the top of the 6 even with the post. The central player should be the most strong at attacking a ball out of the air. 4 or 5 others will man mark players coming into the box. If there is no one else to mark we should have a player at the top of the box to release early if we win the ball. This should be one of the fastest players on the team.

Defending from goal kicks

Set Up: Defending Goalkicks

Players should wait for ball to come out of the back 3rd rather than charge with no thought process. #9 is responsible for making play predictable and trying to prevent the opposition playing the ball back. #10 will try to prevent central penetration #11 will provide pressure once it is established that the opposition has restricted movement. #3 should be cover incase #7 is beaten or depth in case we win it. #8, #7 and #2 should be ready as transition players in case a long switch is made.
