Area:
Create a square approx 10m x 10m with cones laid random inside. Put 4 squares in the 4 corners of the pitch.
Equipment:
Balls , cones and discs to mark out area.
Objective:
Split the players equally on to the 4 corners of the pitch. Each player dribbles through the centre square with the random cones and has to drbble to each corner square. They must return to the central square before going to another square. Once they have visited each square they retuen to their starting square. When the first player from any corner reaches the centrasl square the next player inline can set off. The winning team is the first team with all players back to their starting square.
Progression:
The players have a cone placed on thier heads (same as the arrival activity). If their cone falls off at any point they have to go back to the last corner square they visited before carrying on again.
Key points:
Ephasise the need for using periphial vision and use quick glances with the eyrs down and not bend the neck to look directly down.

Area:
Use 1/4 of astro pitch and divide the pitch into thirds.
Equipment:
cones, bibs, balls, goals.
Objective:
Split the players into 2 teams. Each player is given a number and their job when out of possesion is to mark the same number as themselves on the team in possesion. So blue1 out of possesion will mark red 1 who is in possesion. Blue 2 out of possesion will mark red 2 in possesion and so on. The practice starts with a possesion game in the middle 3rd. After 3 passes the team in possesion can breakout and attack the goal. The practice is reset once the ball goes dead or the defending team win back possion.
Key Points:
The aim is to get players to identify loss of possesion (in this instance the 3 passes) and get goalside of their marker and defend an attack, Anticipate when it looks like the 3 passes are completed to search for your man.
Progression 1:
Make the game multi directional on the break out to make the player really think about where the play is likely to head.
Progression 2:
Have a normal direction match with blues and reds attacking opposite ends.
Progression 3:
Normal match but keep match up players to try and man mark zonal. For example red right midfield marks l blue left midfield.

Area:
Create an area with poles or different coloured discs, cones to the cones in the square. Size will be dictated on number of players but 5 in the middle would be 10m x 10m.
Equipment:
Cones, bibs, poles or discs & balls.
Objective:
Split the players in 2 teams.Standard jailbreak game. Each player with a ball dribbling trying to avoid the cones whilst wearing a cone on their head.If they dribble, hit a cone or the cone falls off they are in jail. If they dribble through without being hitting a cone they take a shot at goal before the edge of the area (or marked line on astro). If they score they can relase a team mate from jail. If they miss they go to jail. The other team wins when all the players from one team are in jail. They will have 5 seconds to dribble through the square then another 3 to get the shot away.
Key Points:
Ephasise the need to look up and scan between touches.Manouver the ball away from danger.

Area:
Create a square approx 10m x 10m with cones laid random inside.
Equipment:
Balls , cones and discs to mark out area.
Objective:
Players dribble around the area with their own ball but have a cone placed on their heads like a hat. The players need to keep their heads up high whilst they dribble or the cone will fall off.
Progression:
On command of a whislte or call the players need to change direction sharply and kep their heads up and avoid bumping into team mates.
Key points:
Ephasise the need for using periphial vision and use quick glances with the eyrs down and not bend the neck to look directly down.
