Man Press
Pressing team aim not to allow a pass into any of the squares adjacent to the ball square (2, 4, or 5 in the example shown). The ball team score a point for every pass into a neighbouring square. They can keep possession by making passes into non-adjacent squares (3 or 6), but do not receive points for these.
Every time the defending team win the ball and complete one pass they score a point. Ball restarts via coach serve. Play to 10 then switch team roles.
Coaching Points:
- Communicate who has pressure on ball, delay outlet pass
- Supporting defenders mark potential receivers tightly, deny easy passes
- Recognize that if the ball is moved successfully the responsibility of ball pressure rotates to a new defender.

Conditioned Game
Teams scrimmage with regular rules in place.
1 point if team scores a regular goal from their own possession.
1 point if team scores after winning it in their own defensive third.
2 points if team scores after winning it in middle third.
3 points if team scores after winning it in attacking third.
Reinforce all previous coaching points with the intention of winning the ball as high up the field as possible.

Pressing Warm-up (20 mins)
Pressing Warm-up
One possession team and one pressing team.
The possession team continually move the ball and attempt to provide clear passing lanes for the ball player. Every time they receive the ball they must take at least 3 touches before moving the ball on.
Every time the ball moves the defensive team has to get every player into the box that the ball is in and cover all passing lanes out of that box but cannot take the ball from the possession player.
Coaching Points:
- Apply pressure as quickly as possible
- Only one player pressures the ball
- Supporting defenders pay attention to the movements of the supporting possession players
