Activity: Two players from each team occupies two corner boxes. Teams play 4v4 in the middle. Objective is to combine with a teammate in a corner box to score a point. Play 2 min, rest 1 min. Passing player replaces the target player in the box. Score in each corner to win the game.
Progression:
Corner boxes are empty and players pass into an open box for a teammate to run into.
Coaching Points:
1. Dispersal - get width and depth.
2. Mobility - movement to create passing options.
3. Support - angles & distances.
4. Speed of play - be direct.
5. Communication.

Organization: use of a half field at North Park (mainly central area marked by the corners of the box through to halfway line). Two small 6*6 boxes just inside/outside the corners of the 18. One large goal, two small goals at halfway line, on either side of center circle. Supply of balls outside main goal. 7v6 favour Red who play 1-2-3-1 (GK, 2CB, 3CM, 1CF) 4-3-3 vs. Blue who play 1-3-2 (1CB, 3CM, 2CF) 3-5-2.
Activity: Red look to successfully build out the back centrally through their two CBs and score on the two small goals at half. Blue look to win the ball back and have 8 seconds to attack the large goal. All restarts with the GK. Initial condition: Red CBs are unopposed in the small boxes inside their 18-yard box.
Progressions:
1. Limit time or touches inside the boxes.
2. Add a winger (playing inverted) for red and a CB for blue.
Coaching Points:
1. Open body position - receive to play forward.
2. Mobility - move as the ball moves to create passing options or space for others.
3. Support - provide options for teammates, including using GK as an option if can't play forward.
4. Penetration - break lines of defense and, when needed, change the point of attack.
5. Speed of play is key in Zone 1 as well as protecting the ball.
6. Triggers for movement.
