Organization:
- large 15 x 15 grid with four mobile players on the outside and one player on the inside against three defenders.
- The four goals on the outside are soley for the defenders
Instructions:
- Yellow player in the middle can only play a 1-2 touch pass to keep the move going.
- Players on the outside must combine the most passes in 1 minute (this time frame is flexible) and then switch players on the outside with the ones on the inside.
- Defending team, if they win the ball, try to score on the four goals placed outside the grid.
- Which ever group of defending 3 get the most passes against them (consecutively) within the time frame are the losers.
Coaching Points:
- As the ball moves around, how can your movement off the ball open up passing lanes to you or other teammates?
- The middle player, can he also move to create passing lanes? Can he quickly shift defenders with fast accurate passes between lines?
- Can the middle player help create overloads and releive the pressure to keep the ball?
- Set it as if you are having your #10 or 8 trying to link our defenders with our wide players or striker.
- How does your passing quality affect the speed at which we play?
Progressions/Regressions:
- 2 points if middle player is able to combine opposite sides with movement(creat passing lane)/pass(option inside to keep the attack going forward)

Passing Techniques (15 mins)
ORGANIZATION:
- Large triangles with three players. At the top cone you split two, and one between the bottom two cones.
- Players seperated by the top cone each have a ball.
iNSTRUCTION:
- There are many progressions through various techniques I have the first and simplist form pictured above.
- Play starts with one player passing to the lone player INSIDE the cone, the blue player then takes a touch with the inside of their foot to the outside of the cone and passes back. (in the picture player recieves with inside left foot, passes with inside right foot)
COACHING POINTS:
- Quick feet, keep chest over your body to remain balanced whilst changing direction
- Put that touch exactly where you want it, it matters.
- If it goes a bit further than you wanted, do not settle for reaching for it, move your feet and get over the ball.
- Same technique just different feet.
PROGRESSIONS:
- Receive with out side of foot and pass with same foot.
- Receive outside of triangle, pass back with outside of the foot.
- Slapcut, come back inside and pass.
- Options are endless
