Combination 2s - Part 1
Set up:
Full court
GK at each end
Players set up opposite on half way line mark
1a triggers the GK releasing a ball to them.
1a must make run throught the gates followin the path to get to position 1d to receive.
At same time 2a makes a run through the gates to get to position 2b to receive a pass from 1d.
On release, 1d must run towards position 1e receiving the ball from 2b's position
2b makes a run to support via 2c to end up in 2d position
1e must decide to shoot or use the team mate to score
Key Points:
Player 1's run must be a significant feint to look as thought they are going forward. Face attacking goal before cutting back to run to 1d
Player 2 must do the same on the opposite side of the court to trick the opposition
Pass quality: The GK must pass to the correct foot.
Players must arrive at 1d and 2b at the same time. 2b should not be waiting. SYNC the movement.
Angle of approach of player 1 to receive is cruicial to set up pass to 2b
Pass to 2b must be to their correct foot to ensure flow of the move
Pass from 2c position must be in front of 1e to not break the forward movement
