12 players get into pairs. They the line up opposite eachother and start throwing balls high into the air. The player heading the ball must jump up and head the ball high and back into the feeders hands. After doing ths 10 times each then rotate the feeder and the player heading.

Variable Practice

12 participants

6 players in the middle and 6 players on the outside. The players on the outside must have the ball and feed the ball into the player into the middle so they can therefore produce a defensive header back into the feeder's hands. After 3 minutes rotate the feeder's and the players heading.

5v5 with 2 goalkeepers.

Scoring system- for each defensive header they will gain 1 red cone which is worth 2 points.

For each attacking header scored you will gain 1 blue cone which is worth 1 point.

The pitch is split into thirds with wide channels in order to get opportunities for defensive headers.

The team must feed pass the balls out to the wide area's for the wide players to throw the ball into an area for your attackers to attack. If a defender can make a successful defensive header passed the final third they will gain 2 points for their team.
