THE SESSION:
1) Receive back foot, beat the mannequin and pass out
2) Receive back foot, play a one-two and pass out
3) Pass, open and pass out - receiving player must play a give and go with both yellow players

THE SESSION:
- 4 goal game.
- Adjust numbers based on amount of players (ie 4v4 or 5v5)
- 35 x 30 yard area with a 5 yard endzone with goals on either end as depicted.
- Ball starts with coach every time.
- Team receives to go forward, combine and look to score. Only 1 defender can defend inside of own endzone.
PROGRESSIONS: Remove restriction on amount of players in the endzone player (add or remove based on success)

SetUp
-3 teams of 4, with 4 mini goals as shown
Organization
-One defending team, one attacking team and one 'target team. *The teams must stay in their respective zones. The attacking team must play in their zone, create space to look for gaps to play into targets. If targets receive the ball they try to score in the mini goals. *If targets receive the ball, defending team can recover to prevent a goal being scored.
Progressions
-Rotate teams every 3-4 minutes

- Four Teams (Gerrard, Daglish, Rush and Fowler)

Physical Development - SAQ (10 mins)
THE SESSION:
3 exercises -- Soccer-related physical movements focusing on change of direction, balance and coordination. When you have completed each exercise as outlined below, you will have completed 1 round. Do 2-3 rounds.
Exercise 1: Balance. Player jumps on one foot and without putting the other foot on the ground, jumps and lands on opposite foot at the next cone and keeps this pattern until the end. Hold EACH jump for a 3-second count to work on balancing (core strength)
- Sprint back to the start when completed. Repeat 5 times
Exercise 2: Agility. Backwards movement. Invert from prior week. Work backwards.

- When you get to the end, jog back to the start (recuperation) and keep doing this for 1 minute.
Exercise 3: Footwork. Players runs through the red cones alternating feet, but getting both feet in the space between each cone.

PROGRESSIONS:
Exercise 1: Jump off the same foot from start to finish, forcing you to adjust his/her body to get from one cone to the other.
Exercise 2: Complete the drill moving backwards or alternate forward to backwards movement between cones.
Exercise 3: Vary the footwork between each cone ie lateral movement, shuffle of the feet, backwards etc...
KEY MESSAGES/POINTS:
Exercise 1: Focus on landing safely; landing leg slightly bent, knee over the toes, and explode from one cone to the other.
Exercise 2: Toes facing same direction during lateral movement, do not touch your feet together, get low for optimal balance.
Exercise 3: Use your arms to add quickness, foot-eye coordination to NOT step on the cones.
