Organization: Set up 2 cones 30yds apart in the wide channel and 2 cones 10yds apart in the midfield channel in between the center circle and the penalty box. A player at each midfield cone and players in a line at the center line cone. The line starts with the ball by passing to the player nearest the penalty box followed by a one touch pass to the other midfielder, then a quick long pass to the corner space. The player in line times the run to receive the long pass with one touch and then a long aerial pass the the other side of the field. The other side of the field is set up the same but going the opposite direction down the field. The back of the line receives the crossed ball.
Coaching Points: Accurate passes leading the receiver to the next pass. One touch for quick ball movement, two if control needs to be applied. Lead the wide player with a corner pass followed by one touch to set up a long cross. Wide player should time the run to arrive at the same time as the ball. Plant foot pointed across the field. Hips open square to the point of the cross.
