Set up:
1v1
Description:
1v1 defending to a gate. Focus should be on the defender pressing to make play predictable. Attacker gets point from dribbling through the gate. Defender gets point for winning possession and counter attacking by dribbling through end zone.
Coaching Points:
4 P's of defense (Pressure, Position, Patience and Power)
Pressure - Run straight at defender or how to angle run to force a player into one direction
Position - The correct body position to attempt to win the ball back
Patience - Don't lunge in pick a good moment to win the ball (visual cue of attacker taking a bigger touch)
Power - When to attempt to win the ball and how to be strong and safe in the tackle

Set Up
3v2 / 4v3 transition.
Description:
Red attempt to break out of first half into 2nd half of the field. White team can only defend their half. If white steal they can move anywhere and it becomse a 4v3 scrimmage.
Coaching Points
1st defender make play predictable
2nd defender provide cover and then support when possession is won
Reaction time and decision making of players in transition - once possession is won

Description:
As previous but now white have central midfielder and red have a center back
Coaching Points:
