Organisation
channel 8x12 yards
4-6 players in each channel
Activity - 1v1 attacking
The defender will start with the ball and to start the drill will pass the ball to the attacker
As he ball is passed the attacker steps onto the ball and drives at the defender
After passing the ball the defender goes to shut the attacker down
Firstly the defender is passive to get a gradual build up of the action and skills that the coach is looking for
The attacker tries to take on the defender and cross the line with the ball under control
Players will switch places (the defender will become the attacker and the attacker the defender)
Progression - defender becomes active and can tackle the attacker
Also progress into the champions league game
Coaching Points
Good first touch out of feet
Drive at the defender at speed
slow down as you approach defender
perform skill to get past defender (exaggeration, speed, timing & distance)
Break the line of the defender & change of pace

Organisation
40x30 box with 2 end zones
6v6 with 2 floaters
Activity - Game Related (End Zone)
Focusing on speed and agaility in a 1v1 dribbling situation
Aim of the game is to dribble into the end zone with the ball under control
If the team in posession successfully dribbles the ball into the end zone they will get 1 point
If the player who dribbles into the end zone with the ball beats a player in a 1v1 situation before they will get 2 points
The ball should be left in the end zone for the other team to then try to attack
Progression - If the team in possesion successfully dribbles the ball into the end zone whilst under control instead of leaving the ball in the end zone for the other team to get possession they will continue to keep the ball and try to atack the other end zone
If the defending team wins the ball they can then go and attack into either of the 2 end zones
