Drill defending against an overload of 1. (3v2) The aim is for the green player to stop the ball on the far away line in order for them to score a goal/point Reds simply just need to get in possesion of the ball and knock it back towards opposit line for a point. We are working with the reds to try and help defend against an overload of 1 player so a 3v2. Offside rule is in play to make it more game realistic.
Area1
Encourage one of the reds to go and press the ball without going running in to fast also try to get him to show him a certain direction in order for the other red to split the other to green players.
Area2
If a green goes to create a 2 v 1 on the pressing red player then let him do it. The further away from goal the better always have one red behind the other. Just encourage the front red to again show the player in possesion down the line.
Area3
Get both reds to sit deep and try to frustrate the green team. If the Green player in possesion starts to drive as pace with the ball get one red to step out and again try show him down a line or try hold him up and make him go backwards with the ball. The other red again must then shift himself so he is spliting the other 2 green players.

SSG - 8v9 in the greens favour. Hopefully we get success from the session we have been working on to try and stop the other team scoring from overloads.
