MUST USE HANDS to tag and to touch the soccer ball.
Red is confined to the 2x2 grid "home alone" and is a tagger.
Green is the thief trying to steal the "key" (soccer ball) but is dribbling around.
If green gets tagged he goes to a different grid area to steal the key.
If green gets the soccer ball red and green switch roles.
The ball should not be held, guarded (sitting on it, legs between it) where green has no chance of touching the ball.
Coaching points - head up, change of direction/pace to avoid tag, close control. different surfaces
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Example-(only showing 1 team but all would do the same)
Snake Race
All the players on the right side face their team. Red #1 dribbles down
Red #1 goes and gets #2, #2 is holding on the back of #1 shirt like a snake
#1 and # 2 go the the line and then go get #3. This continues till all of them cross the side of where the cone is.
If they break they must go back that round to where they started
Coaching points-
Slow dribble control, communication, teamwork, head up, FUN

You can start with as many or as little inside the "mousetrap" as you'd like, usually 4-6 creates a large enough circle, have coaches/parents jump in too if needed.
Blue is holding hands in a circle and passing a ball back and forth slowly. if they the ball goes one person can go get the ball and start passing again.
Yellow should dribble in and out of the "mousetrap" (circle). they need to crawl or kneel into the "mousetrap". (if they are not going inside and dribbling outside the entire time you can warn them, you can make them join the "mousetrap" (circle).
When Blue gets 5 passes they can drop down and sit, when they sit they trap the mouse!
If any mice are in there they join the mousetrap. Play goes until 1 kid left.
-Can make a rule the last few mice must stay in 5-10 secs etc.
Coaching points- head up, close control, different surfaces, short vs long touches, technical passing

Similar to sharks and minnows
-5yd-15yd grid in the middle , depending how hard you want it to be, can start easy and make it harder for the wolf (more yds make it harder)
- kids "rabbits" dribble back and forth/split kids on each side to start with
-if the wolf touches the rabbit, they become a wolf and start helping
-can add in ONLY left foot, right foot, rolls etc.
-can add in if the wolf kicks their ball and not just touches the rabbit
Coaching points - head up, speed drill - longer touches then shorter to stop by goal, different surfaces, change of direction/pace to dodge wolf

The colors do not matter, for demo purposes.
-Use big goals if possible or a bunch of mini goals
- Depending on the skill level and age - goals 15-20yds away from pit ( 5x5 yds space). Blockers cannot go into pit!!! Blockers can use hands.
-Red player starts the game by selecting any goal he wants to shoot in. the other players are dribbling around the goals, they can come out a block a shot for 3 - 5 secs without their ball and then they need to continue dribbling to the next goal. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO COME OUT BY EVERY GOAL BUT CAN. NEED TO BE RIGHT BEHIND GOAL TO COME OUT.
-If they block a shot they go into the kicking pit, CANNOT go in without blocking a shot and cant go into the pit to block a shot
Coaching Points- (manage 3-5 secs and rules, watch for safety issues, have parents help, have kids have hands up!!!)
-dribbling close and also with speed, head up, control of the ball, GK hands, technical shooting demos, follow rules!!!! COUNT OUT THE 3-5 SECS

Simple and fun game for U4-U7 ( have parents help their child)
Treasure Hunt
Spread a bunch off cones, pennies, soccer balls etc.
Tell the kids they can go get a treasure. They dribble and come back and set down their treasure, they will go back and forth
-can add spread around the area (you decide the area 30x30/40x40 yds) and dribble around collect slowly
Coaching points-
close control, big toe/big toe, head up some (hard for little ones) slowly if needed, different surfaces to control (inside, outside, right, left) - let them decide but ask them
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Easter Egg Hunt
have kids dribble around and pick up as many as they can(slowly if younger, you will know after 1 round)
-count at the end to see how many points they have (1 point each)
Add to challenge if you'd like:
(time, speed, team vs team, less eggs)
-can add team vs team
-can add a time limit to challenge them - 30 secs, 1 min etc.
-can add in certain "eggs" (purple, orange, and yellow cones) are worth 3 points
-take away "eggs" to limit how many are out in the hunt
-can add in ONLY dribble left foot, cuts, rolls etc.
Coaching points -
close control, different surfaces, head up, change of direction - small touches

last man standing
Players spread out and dribble around
-can add in MUST use left, right, rolls, toe touches, moves etc.
The Coach will shout out after 15sec,30sec,45secs, 1 min ( this is up to the Coach, mix it up) (standing, sitting on ball, laying down, or kneeling) 4 ones.
Whoever is doing this action when the Coach yells STOP and the action(standing, sitting on ball, laying down, or kneeling) must go to a grid/gate area and perform that soccer skill, they should switch the skill. Example - kid goes to bounce juggle first and then toe touches.
Example - "STOP, (wait one sec, can turn around) STANDING"
The winner is the "last man standing".
Coaching points - head up, change of direction, close control, different surfaces
