3. We want to create shooting opportunities in either half, long range or close range shooting/finishing.
4. If Defenders (Red) win the ball they may both attack and look to score on small goal.
Player Decison Making:
Can I shoot? Can I create space for a teammate to shoot by making a run? Weight of pass? Who would have the best attempt at goal ? Can I dribble/penetrate and then shoot or create a shootin chance for teammate. Creating a good angle for a pass, where and why could should I move?
Coching Points:
Technical points, body position, first touch to shoot, movement and angles, dribble or pass, safe pass or turn/beat a player. Communication to increase speed of play. Follow Shots.

Shooting and Finishing (15 mins)
Set up: Three different starting points.
1. Player 1 Dribbles and shoots unopposed.
2. Player 1 becomes defender and Player 2 starts as soon as player 1 has shot. (One vs One)
3. Player 3 becomes active after Player 2s attack and its now Player 1 and 3 versus 2. (Two vs One)
Activity starts over and players rotate into new starting line. Example = 1-2, 2-3, 3-1.
Every player will have the chance to experience each part of the activity.
Player Decision making:
Power over placement? How, when and were can I beat the defender? Do I pass or do I dribble?
Coaching Points: (These vary with type of shooting technicque)
1.Instep= ankle locked, connect with instep,
Laces= approach angle, heel back, non striking foot planted to side of ball, ankle locked, follow through, toe stays down, knee over the ball on point of contact.
2. Create half a yard of space, positive first touch, drive into space, Encourage players to use both feet to shoot.
3. Make players aware of options, dont make choices for them! Recognize defenders positioning. What does the defenders body positioning tell us. Let players be creative and figure it out. If there is consistently no end product ask them why. Dont tell them.
