4 v 3 Overload & Recovery Run
Set Up -
Defenders starting on either line/yard box
Ball Played into attacking front 4
On the attackers 1st touch then the Defenders can go and press
Defender Making Recover Run can also go and press on 1st touch
Attackers must make 3 passes before they can shoot
Coaching Points
Attckers take minimum touches (but make sure the have possession secure)
movement is key
Quality & Type of pass
improvise and be creative
Good Combination play.
Body shape when recieving the ball
Progression -
Defenders can move as the ball is played to close down the space quicker top force the attackers decision making.
Reduce the number of passes required or remove.

Overload Function
3 Attacker vs 3 Defenders & Goalkeeper
Rondo - 3 v 3 + 2 or a 2 v 2 with a Nutral in the middle.
whichever team is in posession must make a bounce pass to the Nutral players before making a pass to the front 3 then the 2 Nutural players go and join the attack to create a 5 v 3
Porgression -
1st Progression
1 of the MF join the attack and 1 of the Neutral players join it but the side the ball is on to support the wide player to create the 5v3.
2nd Progression
1 of the Defending players can track back to make the overload a 5v4.

Body shape when recieving the ball
Ask players to dominate 1v1 situations if required or can they create 2v1s
Encourage players to use space and spare man when in possession to ensure the team is able to stretch the opponent
Encourage teams to be quick with the ball to prevent the opponent become organised

Set up - (7 v 6 outfeild)
Blues - 1-3-3 (CB,MF 3 & Front 3)
Reds - 1-4-2 (GK-Back 4 & MF 2)
Zones to create Realisum 1v1 in wide areas but if Reds win the ball back can the Full backs score into the gates, Blue Front 3 can come into central areas. and also Blue MF can go into the wide zones to prevent the Red full backs from Scoring.
Objectives -
Reds Objective is to counter attack and to score in gates and in the mini Goal
Blues objective is to create the over load but prevent being hit on the counter attack by the reds.
Blues to use the extra man to create over load in wide and central areas.
