Warm-up (15 mins)

Organization:

  • Circuit training = speed + physical activity
  • 4 total stations

Instructions: 

STATION #1: in the ladder the player has to make 2 contacts on each rectangle, keeping knees not that high and back straight looking forward, and moving their feet as fast as possible. Once they finish the ladder they must land in one of the rings with the opposite foot. In addition, they should run backward, lowering their knees and touching the poles and looking up.

STATION #2:  The coach will have 2 colors of cones ( yellow & green) on her hands, the player must listen and jump to the side that the coach is telling them to do. If the coach says go, the player must run toward the red cone as fast as possible. The player must come back walking to recover the muscle.

STATION #3: coordination + 1v1 station.

Coach Points:

  • Players need to improve their speed and change of direction
  • Keep the girls as active as possible.
  • Give positive feedback.

Part 1 (15 mins)

Organization: 

  • Individual work
  • Red cones in the middle
  • Green cones at the end of the field
  • First minute without ball then add a ball

Instructions:

  • The players should pay attention to the coach instructions. When the coach raise up a cone color the players must run full speed to that cone

Coach Points:

  • Players must be active the entire time.
  • Make corrections on how they run, and encourage them to correct the movement if necessary.
  • Give positive feedback.

Part 2 (10 mins)

Speed, pass and score

Organization:

  • Poles in the middle field act as gates where the pass must go through.
  • A small goal at the end of the field with cones in front of it.
  • Two players with 1 ball

Instructions:  

  • Coach will pass the ball through the gate for the first 2 times then I'll be switching players to do that pass.
  • The player must run around the poles and receive the ball. Then run toward the goal and kick the ball before passing the red cones.

Coach Points:

  • That the players have better concentration and ball control.
  • Players react faster and more effectively.
  • Ask them questions like "How to find an opening?" "how to cooperate with my teammate?" "how do I find an opening?"

Part 3 (15 mins)

Organization:

  • 2 players per team
  • 1 pinnie

Instructions:

  • Players in the front will put around their waist a pinnie and the partner behind them will pull on them from behind trying to keep them safe at all times and in place if possible. The player in the front will try to pass the red cones before the coach blows the whistle.

Coach Points:

  • Keep players safe
  • Keep them entertained

  • VARIANT = add a ball instead of the pinnies 

Instructions

  • Players will be playing the game tic tac toe.

  • Divide the group into even teams.

  • Let the players explore and make mistakes, do not stop the game too much to make corrections.
