4 Goal Game (15 mins)

4 Goal Game

- Split the group into two or 3 teams of 4-5 players per team

- Use a square area with 4 goals, one on each side

- The coach feeds the ball in

- Both teams can score in any of the 4 goals

- When a team does not have possession they may defend the goals with the closest player to the goal able to use their hands

- As soon as a goal is scored or a ball goes out, the coach feeds a new ball in

- Play first to 3 or 5, or a timed limit, e.g. 3 minutes, whereby most goals wins

- If there is a third team resting then they come on and play the winners

- The team with the most winning games after 15-20 minutes wins

Easier - Less players per team and/or more than one ball in play at once

Harder - More players per team

Technical Points:

- First touch out in front of body towards chosen goal (where there is space/opportunity)

- Place the shot with inside foot if close to goal or 1v1 with goalkeeper

- Strike with power from distance with goalkeeper - laces through the ball
