Animation 1

Bravery Game

  • Three teams: Attacking, defending, and serving
  • Balls from outwide get served in the air, balls from up top get served on the ground
  • Rotate through and each position gets served three (or four) times
  • Each team gets a turn serving, attacking, and defending (in that order)
  • Ball is in play until it goes in the goal or leaves the 18 yard box
Coaching Points
  • BE BRAVE! attack the ball in the air
  • Everything happens quickly in the 18 yard box so play fast and shoot
  • Quality service 
  • Clearances need to be High, Far and Wide
Progressions
  • If teams aren't heading the ball enough, headed goals count as three, headed clearances get the defending team a point
  • If teams aren't serving the ball well enough, then take points away for bad service
