Mark off 30 yards with 4 cones. Two players can go at a time if you have two timers. Players start at the first cone, run forward to the second cone, touches it and runs back through the finish line. This test measures all out speed as well as the ability to turn quickly. The players get two attempts. Record the best time.

This test is intended to measure endurance speed and the ability to change direction quickly.
Mark off an area of 25 yards with 4 cones. Player begins by running toward the 25-yard mark, touches the cone, turns, and runs back to the original cone. Player repeats this 5 more times for a total of 6 trips equalling 300 yards. Players get two turns. Record the best time.
Two players can go at a time if you have two timers.

Players run 8 laps around a 400 meter track for time. This test measures endurance.
(In the diagram, pretend there is a track. If a track is not available, perform the 12 minute Cooper test around the soccer field. Record how many times players get around the field.)

Illinois Agility Drill (30 mins)
This test measures agility and body control. The player starts by sprinting forward, around the corner cone, weaves back through the middle cones toward the top, turns and then weaves back through, around the other corner cone, and sprints to the finish.
The players can begin the drill when they are ready. As soon as they move forward with their first step, the timer starts. The players are given two attempts. Record the best time.
