Organisation
- GK starts off in central area 1 rolls the ball out in front to make it active then take a low shot
- 1 passes to 2 - who reacts and passes/rolls the ball for a low dive
- As soon as ball is played by 2, 3 dribbles around the red cone before taking an angles shot on goal
P - 2 takes a touch and takes an angled shot on goal
P - can be played to 2 or 3 in any order
Note - always rebounds and can introduce a cross from 3 need want to provide realism
KCP
- Side step/ Cross over
- Follow ball - keep in line with the ball
- Decision to catch parry or deflect

Near Post Diving with Central Recovery
Next, the practice should include a dive at the near post (to simulate a near post shot, or across the box cross) before recovering to make a simple catch at from (2).
1) This server can pass the ball along the ground or place the ball for a collapsing save to the goalkeepers left (servers right), for the goalkeeper to dive and collect.
A recovery run should then be made in order to get into line for a straight catch from (2) - Ideally this will be replicated with the 1 getting the ball and passing to (2) - 2 can still throw the ball just needs realistic tracking across goal.
This practice can then be flipped on its head, where (1) provides a straight catch and (2) provides an angled shot. Using an angled shot is best practice as it gives one side of near side and one far side for the goalkeeper to cover.

Recovery Run for a Near Central Shot
On a shout, the goalkeeper should turn, and move into position.
The server can either wait for the goalkeeper to get into position (good for the first few sets to achieve success) or can shoot while the goalkeeper is moving to force a moving save.
The shot should be aimed at the back corner of the net (as shown in the picture by the black line) as this is more realistic of a strikers aim.
The goalkeeper should be encouraged to stop as the shot is struck. No matter where they are, stopping allows them to assess the flight of the ball and stop wrong footing.
