Dynamic Stretches
1. Legs apart, bounce L, C, R (5x)
2. Calves 1, 2, 3 switch (2x each leg)
3. Knee to chest into Figure 4 with footwork in between (2x each)
4. Quad strech with footwork in between (2x each)
5. Speed skater with footwork in between (2x each)
6. Spiderman/Rollback (4x each)
7. Reverse RDL + Reverse lunge + Overhead reach (4x each)
8. Open/Close the Gate (4x each)
9. Lateral lunge (2x each)

Objective: to help develop tactical understanding and positional play.
Organization: 14x20 grid (adjust size depending on ability) with 12 players. The grid is divided into quadrants by putting flat discs or cones in the middle.
Instructions: play 3v3 + 4 keep away

Objective: to play small sided game in formations that build into 1-4-3-3 formation.
Set-up: sidelines are 18 to midline. Goals at one end of the 18 and the other at the other normal sideline.
Instructions: players play 6v6.
Variations: 6v6 ALLOUT extra players keep ball in play.

Objective: improve finishing
Set-Up: 3 cones 10 yards above the 18. One player at the top of the 18.
Instructions: Middle player passes it wide and overlaps, wide player passes to other wide player and overlaps, 3rd player plays the target who lays it off on either side for finish. All players must follow.
Variations: Have multiple groups going and make it a competition. First team to score 7 goals wins.
Coaching Points:
1. Quality passes
2. Movement off the ball
3. Appropriate finishing (placement or power).

Rondo - Activation (10 mins)
Objective: mental and physical activation game for the training session.
Set-up: will vary based on the number of players. Adjust grid size based on ability. If players are getting more than 15 passes in a row then make the grid smaller.
Instructions: Play 1 or 2 touch for 5v2 or smaller. Play 1 touch only for 6v2 or bigger.
Timing: Play for 4 minutes. 2 minute free stretch. Play 4 more minutes.
Variations: 1 touch and 2 touch. Introduce rules for megs and splits. If you get megged you have to defend again. If you and your partner get split you both have to defend again.
Coaching Points: just make sure the game is going. Don't over coach. Just observe. See how the team has arrived at training.
