Uefa B Crossing & Finishing Component 1 (20 mins)
This is a UEFA B Licence Component 1 which will look at Crossing & Finishing.
Set-Up - Half of a Full Pitch
Mannequins set up as defenders. Back 4 and 2 Central Midfielders
Attackers set up with 2 Strikers, 2 CMs & 2 wide players (RM & LM)
Drill - Ball starts with one of the CMs
1 striker drops deep to link up with other CM. As the striker comes deep the opposite striker moves into the free space.
CM then plays the ball out to the closest wide player.
The RM or LM the takes on the mannequin and goes into a position to put a cross into the box
2 strikers will attack the ball and the opposite wide player will attack the back post
1 CM will provide a cut back option and the other CM will provide depth and cover.
Progression - Live Defenders are added once the different movements and options are explored.

This is a UEFA B Licence Component 2 which will look at Crossing & Finishing.
Set-Up - 2/3 of a Full Pitch. Wide areas coned off.
Red vs Blue
2 teams set up in a 2-3-2 formation
Drill - This is a game related practice where the condition in the game is that the ball must be played into a wide area before a goal can be scored. The wide areas are limited to 1 Attacker vs 1 Defender. This will progress to introduce an overload of 2v1. This overload will introduce overlaps and various movement patterns. This practice should concentrate on getting the ball wide early and making the pitch as expansive as possible to stretch the defence and exploit the spaces.

Uefa B Crossing & Finishing Phase of Play
This is a UEFA B Licence Phase of Play which will look at Crossing & Finishing.
Set-Up - 2/3 of a Full Pitch
Blue (Attacking) 2-4-2
Red (Defending) 4-2-1
Coaching Points - Ball will start with Blue Defenders either side of the goal.
Option 1 - Ball is bounced with CM then quickly played out wide.
LM is expected to take on the defender in a 1v1. If the LM can get past the defender then a ball into the box is played. 2 strikers will look to crossover runs with 1 attacking the front post and the other attacking the back post. The wide player on the opposite side will time a run into the back post.
1 CM will provide a cut back option and the other CM will provide cover.
Option 2 - 1 CM will offer an option short to receive the ball. The CM will then clear the channel for a ball to be played to a striker who has dropped deep. The CM who has spun out will receive a bounce pass from the striker and look to play a through ball to the wide man who will look to get in behind the Full back. The CM will continue his run into the box and this time the deeper striker will look to provide the cutback option.

Uefa B Crossing & Finishing Warm-Up (10 mins)
This is a UEFA B Licence Warm-Up which will look at the movements and Build up play requried for the subsequent Crossing & Finishing Session.
Set-Up - Diamond of markers.
Players placed evenly around the markers.
Drill - Play starts at the bottom marker. Ball is moved in an anti-clockwise fashion. The first pass is a bounce pass to the next player. As the ball is bounced back the player recieves the a through ball to play another bounce pass to the next marker. Only until the last marker there is a difference in the pass required, a longer through ball into space for the last player to run onto is required.
Progression - The longer through ball pass is played much earlier in the sequence and is disguised by the player for a full impact. This changes the movemnets made by the players.
