warm up (15 mins)

warm up rondos with pressers and blockers 

Method: 5 blue 

5 red 

5 green 

1 joker black

Pressers/blockers in middle win points by winning ball back 

If ball is played through joker player 2 points if not it’s just 1 point off defending teams score 

Teams will defend twice for 2 minute rounds 

Coaching Points: communicate to man in middle to force the ball one way

main phase (25 mins)

Method: defending in low block 4-4-2 against a 4-3-3 with T2A

cut the pitch up in 5 sections 

defending team (red) must defend their goal and when they win ball back go score as quick as they can into two small goals which represent our 2 strikers

attacking team (blue) start with ball and are free to play and score on goalkeeper if blue lose the ball they are free to win the ball back like a real game 

Coaching Points: red team when defending must occupy three of five zones 

when we win the ball back transition and score as quick as we can (counter attack)

what are good triggers to press

~poor touch

~poor pass

~a pass to wide player

can we try force the ball wide to then trap them against the line with a defensive overload of 2v1
