PRESSING AND COUNTER PRESSING - 15 mins - UNOPPOSED PASSING PATTERNS with UNOPPOSED pressing
ORGANIZATION
14 to 18 players, balls, cones, poles or mannequins
INSTRUCTION DETAILS
The players will be split into two groups, of around 7 to 8 players, to perform the same patterns that will focus on passing and pressing. Allowing me to work on IN POSSESSION/OUT POSSESSION principles.
This activity will be set up in an area of 15 x 10 yards, place 5 poles , mannequins or cones, 1 at each corner and 1 in the middle. Two players in the middle all the time, and the remaining players as the diagram above.
Play initiate with a pass from player 1 to player 2, as the ball travels, player 3 MUST acelerate to prevent the player 2 to perform the second touch (PRESS AGRESSIVELLY).
Player 2 will pass to player 4 and follow the pass, player 4 pass to player 5 and player 3 will press, this time.
ROTATIONS
1 > 3 , 3>2 , 2>4, 4>3, 3>5

PRESSING AND COUNTER PRESSING / TRANSITION GAME - OPPOSED 25 mins
ORGANIZATION
2 full size goals, 17 to 18 players, balls, cones, color vests. 2 Gks
INSTRUCTION DETAILS
4 teams of three plus 2 Gks, 2 teams resting at time.
Play initiate with the coach serving a ball to the defending team so they can build up to initiate the attack. As soon the defender takes a touch, the game is alive, is a direct game to goal, the attacking team once is out possession is aim to press and regain and the ball back to score with tempo.
The coach can play another ball anywhere at the field so they can react to the moment.
