1v1 in 10x10 Grid.
Set-up: two players on diagonal opposite ends. One has a ball.
Players in middle are playing 1v1 against each other trying to win switch the ball from one target to the other. This encourages lots of off the ball movement to free themselves from defender in tight space.
Scoring: Player gets one point when they switch from one target to the other without it being intercepted

Passing & Receiving Technical Warm-up.
Set-up:35x25 Yard Grid; 12 players, 6 balls
Progressions: Perform for 90 seconds and switch groups.
1) Black players receive pass from blue players and pass to another free blue player. Once complete the black player finds another blue player with a ball and repeats. Swap roles.
2) Same as 1 but can you play with two touches? But only if you can (this encourages player vision and 'peaking'.Swap roles
3) Players receive square on, then set back to server, then move to create an open body position to receive and find other server. Swap roles
4) Balls start in the middle and now players alternate between passers and receivers. When central players passes to outside player he will instruct for a wall-pass with her, or "take" (become central player). If outside player takes it, the passer looks for a free space anywhere around the grid.
Coaching points: Peak, receive at an angle with hips open and ball across body.
Communicate to person you're passing to with verbal and non-verbal cues (don't think that they can just call a name and expect them to be open if they haven't looked up; players who miss it pass or don't call name ) knees bent, arms out away from body,
Scoring: How many times can you receive the ball and pass correctly?
Challenges / Questions for Players:
When you receive a pass, can you position your body so you can see most of the field?
Can servers pass ball to receivers back foot (across the body)?

Target + Penetration Game: 20x30 Yard Grid. 3v3 + 2 Targets
Rules:
- 4 minute games
Game #1: Players find a way to find target player on endline. If player on endline, controls the ball, then that team gets one point. Player who played the target takes their spot. <Make it, take it> (Olders, target player must play it back to one of their teammates who then dribbles across the endline)
Game #2: U9-U10 progress to target player having to play it back to teammate who then dribbles across endline. (Olders: target player has to find a different player than the one who played it into them.
Game #3: (Olders, player must lay it off one time)
- Losing team has fitness
Coaching Points: How can you be successful in the game? Peak, why? So you know who is open. When your teammate has the ball what should you do?

6v6 Game for GU9&GU10's. 8v8 for U11's. (30 minutes)
Scoring: 1) Players get one point if they score on goal, 2) if they switch the ball from one end to the other.
Things to Teach:
Throw-ins - Closest Outside back takes it. Closest forward
Coaching points:
Offensive team needs to have their forwards wide in their own half and they can start coming in the offensive half.
Important we teach them our number system and formation. We play a GK-2-1-2. With two defenders, one CM and two forwards.
Make sure you give them set positions.
Let's create 3 channels to naturally give them width.
2-10/15 minute halves.

Rules:
- Have to call name of person you're passing to.
- Player who loses the ball or doesn't call the name goes in the middle and performs 4 push-ups.
- Player in middle has to touch the ball three times in order to go out of grid.
Coaching Point: 3 step rule, always supporting your teammate.
Ball Mastery: 4 different moves.
