GK wall kick exercise

Requirement
  • If at home, no need to wear goalie equipment. 
  • If at home, you'll need at least 4 to 5 meters distance from a wall.
  • If at home can use a tennis ball or a small-sized football
  • use 2 markers or cones. 
  • 1st cone is for the starting point (as per the red cone in the animation) and 2nd cone is for the ball placement (in the animation, the penalty spot is used).
  • The goalkeeper moves from the start point towards the ball and kicks the ball using the foot instep (The instep is the arched part of the top of the foot between the toes and the ankle.)
  • After kicking, the goalkeeper runs backwards (reverse) back to the start position and then runs forward again to kick the incoming ball.
