Organization:
10x 10 grid
4 players per grid
1 ball per grid
balls on the outside
Instructions:
Players must keep possession away from man in the middle
If player in the middle wins the ball they pass the ball to either coach or an extra player who is waiting to rotate in
Coaching Points:
Weight of pass to not sell teammate short
Area of the ball we strike
Is our supporting fooot giving us balance and direction
are we creating angles for our teammate to support us in
In tight spaces are we using different passing techniques (outside of foot, Backheel)
Progressions:
Limit touches
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
We combine two 10 x 10 grids together making the bigger 10x20 grid
6 possession players 2 defensive players
1 ball
balls on outside for use
Instructions:
Progress on from the 3 vs 1 players now keep ball against 2 defenders
if defenders win the ball they can play to eachother for a point
Coaching Points:
Can players recognize the space being bigger?
Bigger space allows more power in our passes
Demands more accuracy
Gives us freedom of different techniques
However do we still do the basics right
Progressions:
Again limit touches

Organization:
20x 20 area
1 player with pinnie
1 ball in grdi
Balls in each corner of the field
Instructions:
1 player (tagger) has ball.
Usingdifferent passing techniques player must strike theg ball at other players
If player is struck then he/she puts on a pinnie and becomes a teammate
Players must be struck below waistline and non pinnie players must always have one foot on the ground at all times (avoids jumping over the pass)
Coaching Points:
It's a warmup so those players without the ball must be moving with soccer like movements
When striking the ball can we identify the approipate technique to use
-Balance when striking the ball
-Area we strike teh ball
Standing foot where is it pointed?
- Can the players who have been tagged begin supporting ball carrier and setting up a better pass
Progressions:
- For every even player we incorporate a ball. I.E 2 players 1 Ball, 4 players 2 balls
- Players only have two touches
