Session Organisation.
Small Sided Game. Balls; Bibs; Cones.
Six, 15 x 15 zonal areas = 45 x 30 play area. 6 v 6 play, 1 v 1 in selected zones.
2 target players, one in each target free zone area and 2 floaters in wide free zone areas,
one each side.
Progression; Allow players to switch side to side creating 2v2 then rotational grid movement
Detail
S-S-Game. 1v1 must stay in zoned areas, retain the ball by using supporting players. To score the team in possession must recieve from a target zone player and play through to the opposite target player.
Free play to start with and then had conditions 1/2/3 touch etc.
Sideway rotation of team player in possession only.
Forward and backwards rotation of team player in possession only. Understanding game awareness and game appreciation

Work on Receiving skills, dealing with the ball under pressure, passing and keeping possession by using the ball effectively.

Session Organisation
Start with 2 areas 55x 24 then progress into 55x48. 4 target goals G/K's or target player's to score or play into as illistrated. .
Detail
2 small 4v4 or 5v5 creative games progression into a 8v8. 9v9 game encouraging players to be positive when in possession. Having 2 small goals and a central target player to score, creates more scoring opportunities for the individual and team ie switching play,crosses finishing but also be aware and react to defensive transition, 2 goals to defend.

Improve dribbling and disguise techniques, early identification of space, positive forward movement and decision making. Pass, Dribble or Run with ball etc.
Tactical
Improve attacking principles.positional awareness. movement with and without the ball. dragging opponents tight, to then run in behind but also be aware to defensive transition.

Develop Aerobic and Anaerobic capabilities of players. Game specific work.
Psychological
Test the ability to work under pressure, Visual awareness to idenify and make positive decisions.

Session Organisation
Area 60x40yds, divided into 3 equal zones, with appropriate size goals at each end, as illustrated.
16 players (incl. 2GK’s), arranged 2-2-2 + 2 1v1 Floaters ,as shown in the diagram.Supply of balls by each goal.
Players are restricted to the designated zones
Practice starts with: ball rolled-out from GK. Team in possession, look to play through the thirds
of the field, varying speed of attacking play & using 1/2 touch passing, if possible.
Open play continues until the ball goes dead. The practice then recommences with initial set-up.
Detail
Quick passing using 1/2 touch (if possible), to eliminate pressure..Recognition of when to use 1/2 touch passing & when to slow-down play to secure ball retention. Use of different skills & foot surfaces to maximise 1/2 touch/quick play.
Making good decisions when quick play sequences are unavailable. Simple progressions for this practice are:Units can push-up & drop-back into next zone to create 5v5 in single & two-zone play.
All players are ‘free’ & interchange roles & positions.
